Choosing Collar Width​

The following information is provided purely as a rough guide.  Please take the size, weight and strength of your dog into account when ordering: 

​

• 16mm is suitable for extra small breeds and puppies; 

• 19mm is suitable for small to medium dog breeds, and is a 'standard' collar width; 

• 25mm is suitable for medium to large breeds; and

• 38mm is suitable for large breed dogs.

Also note that the bigger the collar the heavier the hardware will be. 

 

The wider collars are not suitable for smaller dogs due to the weight of the hardware.

Choosing Collar Length

 

​​Please note that all of the sizing options are exact measurements. E.g. a 28cm - 38cm collar will measure 28cm on the smallest setting, and 38cm on the largest setting.

 

For the best fit on a standard buckle collar select a size where your dog will fit from the smallest to the middle of the size range.
